The Beach Hut Boutique
 The Beach Hut Boutique opened in October 2007 in the same building as our family run surf shop Boarders Inc @ Waves 'N' Wheels that has been established for over twenty years. We took over the old board room and have grown from there, in March 2008 we took over half of the shop floor and now we live UPSTAIRS (So the old boardroom has been restored much to many surfers approval and the surf shop has its space back, we have ours and we love it!). We are just a short stroll away from Pembroke Castle and are based within the historic town walls. The building is over 200 years old and has had various businesses in it over the years with its original boiling pots remaining in the cellar which we believe were used to boil the catch of the day by fishermen. The original sash windows and oak beams set a homely atmosphere and set off our wide range of products beautifully. I have lived in pembrokeshire all my life and have always been inspired by our beautiful and ever changing coast. I have grown up with a love of everything coastal as my Father has surfed for over 40 years and my Mum has always taken my sister and I to soak up the sun (or rain) while Dad has surfed for HOURS!!! So the Pembrokeshire coast and I have always been close. My upbringing has been the main source of inspiration for our business. I studied Contemporary Texile Design in Cardiff but always knew where my future was. My love of craft and design is reflected in The Beach Hut Boutique. We stock lots of products made by local people, from Saltwater Taffy whose work is produced using natural wood that is washed up on our beaches to work by Owen Howells whose photography encapsulates the pembrokeshire coast and lifestyle beautifully with every picture. As well as our locally sourced products we also sell a large range of products sourced specifically for there place in the lifestyle we create. Our aim is to combine contemporary, sophisticated home living with a relaxed coastal lifestyle. Our customers tell us there is a real feeling of calm in the shop and many people say they could spend hours just looking and, many of them do!!! We love the stories our customers tell us, where they have travelled from, where they stay, their favourite pembrokeshire hang outs and stories from bygone eras, what draws them year after year to spend there precious holiday weeks in our coastal area; many say the same, 'The Pembrokeshire Magic', so if you have only seen our website please do come and say hello. If you can't reach us in person, send us your stories on email or even better drop us a handwritten letter or postcard because we love mail and we have heard that handwriting is disappearing we can't let that happen!! November 2008 saw the launch of our website due to the high demand for mail order and we have had visitors from as far away as New Zealand!! When purchasing a product by using our website or buying something in the shop we guarantee you a warm and friendly welcome, we can always giftwrap your purchases and there is always someone who is happy to help you with your choices. We would like to think everyone leaves us happy with a warm feeling in their tummy and if you can't see what you are after please ask us as we are always keen to try and find what you are looking for if our current product range doesn't include it yet.
March 2009 has seen the launched of our blog 'The Life of Riley' written by our company mascot a (now one year old) springer spaniel, its early days but he will keep you updated on our news, new products and all things 'The Beach Hut Boutique' you can find our blog via our link or visit www.thebeachhutboutique.com keep looking, things change all the time and if the last sixteen months is anything to go by we're sure something new will happen very very soon!!
